The national art museum in Rwesero in Nyanza district has opened an art studio for kids between 2 and 12 years as a way of promoting painting talent.
Throughout the process, children will be inspired by the art works of other kids from America, United Kingdom and Rwanda.
The studio walls are filled with children’s paintings from USA, Britain and Rwanda which aim at educating children the culture of drawing so many things, explains Fiona Mutoni, worker at national museum for arts.
Kids’ studio will be used as an inspiration to young ones who will be visiting the museum, she adds.

The studio is equipped with the materials children will use in drawing like colored pencils and art books
While every child will be paying Rwf500 to enter, a discount of Rwf200 is given to a group of 20 kids and above, Mutoni highlights.
Parents are asked to support their children by allowing them this chance of touring the museum to see and learn from artworks of their fellow children from different countries.
